How a tailoring start-up acquired 350 customers on it’s platform, with the help of The Testament®

Challenge

The organisation in context was a start-up providing tailoring services on demand across the city of Bangalore. As a newly founded start-up, the organisation lacked a large user base. As a part of its growth strategy, the company partnered with The Testament to on board customers on its platform without increasing its own headcount as an organisation.

Solution

The Testament® deployed 2 facilitators for the customer acquisition drive, who were to conduct the drive across the city of Bangalore. The facilitators were provided training about the value proposition of the service, along with the data points required to register a user on the platform. The customer acquisition process was augmented with The Testament’s proprietary technology- Market Acquire®. While this helped the facilitators ensure no data was lost in the process of acquisition, the company received constant on ground data in the form of voice recorded pitches, GPS tracked location history and on ground photographs of the pitch.

On ground customer acquisition was followed by a tele-calling drive to solidify the acquisition process for each customer.

Advertisement Post Acquisition For A C2C Selling Website

How 4000 advertisements got posted on a C2C selling website in 60 days, with the help of The Testament®

Challenge

As per industry estimates, India’s consumption GDP is estimated to grow to $2.5 trillion by 2021, of which, 10% will be online. Of this online consumption, a large chunk will be shared by the C2C space, which is largely unorganized in the country currently.

The client in this case was one of the larger C2C selling websites serving as an advertising platform for all kinds of C2C sales categories. As part of a regular market expansion activity, the client partnered with The Testament® to increase the number of advertisements currently on its portal in 3 categories: mobile phones, computer/laptops and vehicles.

Solution

The Testament® deployed 5 facilitators for this project to work for 2 months across various commercial and residential areas of Bangalore. The facilitators were trained on The Testament’s gamified technology platform EnGame® about the company and its offerings. With training done, the facilitators hit the ground and scanned across Bangalore, targeting both residential and commercial areas. Prospective clients were approached and inquired for any selling opportunities available. For all interested leads, the facilitators were tasked with:

  • Click photos of the property
  • Provide description of the property
  • Provide cost of the property

Once data was acquired, the facilitators posted the advertisements on the advertisement portal, on behalf of the customers.
