The Second Steve Jobs : Story Of Jack Dorsey

Jack Dorsey

It very stylishly rewrote the working of social networking and microblogging and confined its territory in the top bracket of the internet. We are talking about ‘Twitter’.

Why Twitter is an inspiring company? It is because it manages to survive and progress happily despite facing mammoth competition from other Web giants.

The major area where Twitter succeeds to differentiate itself from Facebook is that:

“Facebook is for connecting with people you went to school with, whereas Twitter is for connecting with people you WISHED you had gone to school with.”

The popularity of Twitter spiked up when they efficiently implemented what we call ‘Standing Ovation Model’ that is getting celebrities to create their accounts and then see their fans following them. Another domain that Twitter catered was to provide its people a platform to express themselves on all the prominent events of the world by adding features like ‘trending topics’ and ‘hashtags’

Thus, Twitter is a smart group managing well in keeping itself alive and kicking with more than 300 million users.

Co-founder Jack Dorsey once said in an interview: “No matter how many means we develop to connect with our friends, a place crafted especially to express yourself and see your heroes doing the same is what doesn’t let us fade out.”
